codeX’s mission is to grow the next generation of African coders. We find the best raw talent from a variety of sources, including computer training centres and youth leadership organizations in disadvantaged areas, STEM schools, and social media.
We train them in all the skills they need to build thriving careers in tech, which goes beyond industry standard programming languages such as Javascript, Java, Ruby, and PHP. We place heavy emphasis on industry relevance by working on real projects with real companies, agile philosophy and test-driven development, and using technology to solve problems coders themselves see in their communities.
